Concerns on Public Homeschooling
I went to the psychiatrist today to get a new anxiety pill because I was on Paxil and it was making me gain weight. Keep in mind it was the same lady who prescribed me Paxil and told me there would be no weight gain. When she prescribed Paxil, she named all these anti depressants, and without putting much thought into it prescribed Paxil. My dad is in town and he took me today because my mom and step dad are out of town, He lives 4 hours away. Anyways, before talking about the pill, he made up all this stuff about my mom being unstable and couldn’t take care of me. 1. she can and 2. she works more because he cut off her money that she gets monthly. He did not tell the lady this. I have so much trouble in school since I was in 2nd grade and recently switched to homeschooling. It has helped tremendously because now I don’t get sick in the morning or have to wake up crying anymore. Then he said I was doing poorly with homeschooling and that I need to go back to school and that I need to live with him. He does NOT understand what I go through with my severe anxiety. He doesn’t take the time to care. My mom and stepdad have studied my habits and what bothers me so they help me. That lady agreed with him. I told her that in public I leave the room if it bothers me and come back and she said that wasn’t healthy (bull). I told my dad to leave the room and I told her about my dad not paying my mom to take care of me and how much it upsets me and that he doesn’t take time to listen to me. I told her everything that bothers me and she just sat there like she was not listening. I started crying because I felt she didn’t care and then all of a sudden Im “clinically depressed”. Mostly because I haven’t been wearing makeup. The only reason I don’t is because its hot outside. Then I got aggressive and told her to talk to my stepdad on the phone and told her that he will tell her the truth and she insisted not to. I told her I wanted to and all she did was put me on a scale. Before my dad left I told her about my weight gain with Paxil and that I was getting stretch marks on my thighs and breasts and I gained 12 pounds within a month. All she said is “weight gain should be a minority at this point”. After diagnosing me with depression and putting me on Lexapro, She then told me the people I live with 24/7 didn’t understand me and that my dad did. She didn’t give me a minute to stop crying and rushed me out into the waiting room and told my dad I had depression and quickly left. Me and my grandma looked up the side effects of Lexapro when I got home and one of the big ones was Panic attacks. Thats something that I struggle with alone. Needless to say, I will not be taking Lexapro. Should we contact the clinic and tell them all of this’
