Concerns on Homeschooling In Pennsylvania
I’m currently 21 years old, and living in Pennsylvania. I attended the Pennridge school district up until 8th grade, at which point I transferred into homeschooling for 9th and 10th grade. Circumstances became a touch overwhelming over the summer before my 11th grade year resulting in my dropping out of school to work full time hours(certainly the greatest mistake of my life!)
Since then I’ve obtained a GED. I now have hopes of putting my life back on track, being that I’m financially stable once again. I’d like ti apply to the New York State school SUNY New Paltz. I plan on taking the SAT and ACT tests soon, as well as enrolling in my local community college for a semester(from which I plan to transfer to New Paltz if accepted.) I also plan on picking up an outside of school activity or two to add to my application. I started another question regarding that, and hopefully I can figure out what activities would be best to add.
So really, I’d be an out of state transfer student from a community college. I suppose I’m just curious as to what my chances are’ I can’t begin to describe how fixated my heart is on this(which I know isn’t a good thing, when I could just be let down potentially.) I just have such an intense desire to do this.
Any and all input is greatly appreciated! Your opinion on my chances, as well as what you believe I should do in addition to my current plan.
